The 336BL configuration pairs a big-loop lever with an 18.5 inch blued steel barrel and a full-length tubular magazine for a 5+1 capacity in .30-30. It uses a side-eject, solid flat-top steel receiver that is drilled and tapped, with a receiver-top Picatinny/Weaver rail installed.
Barrel details include Marlin's Micro-Groove rifling, a 1:10 RH twist, and a crowned muzzle. The right-side ejection port, cross-bolt safety, and hammer block provide the familiar 336 operating setup.
Sight alignment is straightforward with the hooded ramp front sight featuring an orange fiber-optic bead and an adjustable open rear sight with green fiber-optic elements. This iron sight setup is fast and visible in varied lighting.
The rifle wears brown laminated hardwood furniture with a pistol-grip profile, cut checkering, straight comb, black grip cap, and a Marlin-logo rubber recoil pad. Length of pull is 13.5 inches, and QD sling swivel studs are fitted. A tan lace-on leather lever wrap is installed on the big loop for enhanced control.
