This rifle uses a Turkish ASFA Ankara Model 1938 receiver marked with the ASFA ANKARA 1938 crest, Turkish arsenal emblem, and inspector marks. It retains the Mauser 98 controlled-round-feed system with a third safety lug, cock-on-open operation, and a full-length external extractor. The rear bridge retains its stripper-clip guide.
The rifle is rebarreled to 7x57mm Mauser and fitted with a 21-inch heavy-profile, tapered sporter barrel featuring a recessed crown and a matte grey finish. No iron sights are installed.
The metal shows a matte grey refinish on the barrel and bottom metal, while the bolt is polished in-the-white with a turned-down handle. The receiver ring is drilled and tapped with two holes. No optic bases are installed.
The walnut sporter stock has a glossy finish with a pistol-grip and schnabel fore-end, and no checkering. A black Remington hard-rubber buttplate is fitted, and the length of pull measures 13.75 inches.
Functionally, it uses an internal 5-round magazine and a flag safety. There are no sling swivels installed.
