It uses a cold hammer-forged 16.10 inch chrome-moly steel barrel with 5R rifling and a Ruger 2-port Boomer muzzle brake, a mid-length gas system with a four-position adjustable gas block, and the crisp Ruger Elite 452 two-stage trigger. At about 6.8 lb and with a continuous Picatinny rail on the receiver, it offers a capable, modern .308 setup with thoughtful engineering throughout.

The SFAR configuration here centers on a 16.10 inch heavy-profile, cold hammer-forged chrome-moly barrel with 5R rifling and a durable black nitride finish. The barrel is threaded 5/8x24 and fitted with Ruger’s 2-port Boomer muzzle brake, giving it a ready-to-use, .308-specific muzzle interface.
Its direct-impingement system uses a mid-length gas setup and a 0.750 inch four-position adjustable gas block, allowing reliable operation with varied ammunition and conditions. A chrome-lined carrier with a staked, nitrided gas key, dual ejectors, an enlarged ejection port, and engineered gas venting round out the operating group. The firing pin is DLC-coated titanium.
The upper features a continuous Picatinny rail on the receiver and a 15 inch Lite free-float M-LOK aluminum handguard with a docked top rail. Forward assist, brass deflector, and an ejection-port dust cover are included. No iron sights are included.
Controls and furniture are practical and modern: the Ruger Elite 452 two-stage trigger breaks at about 4.5 lb; the magazine release is standard; the safety is manual. The rifle uses an adjustable stock and a Magpul MOE grip. Capacity is 20+1 rounds of .308 Win, and this example includes two SR-25 pattern PMAGs.
