Built in Germany and imported by SIGARMS Herndon, VA, this P230 carries German nitro proofs (eagle/N) and date marks along with the SIGARMS import stamp. The slide is marked "SIG SAUER" and "P230," with the caliber marked "9mm kurz," aligning with its .380 ACP chambering.
It uses a fixed-barrel, straight blowback system with DA/SA operation, a decocking lever, and a separate takedown lever. The pistol has no external slide-stop lever and uses a heel-type magazine catch, consistent with the model’s original configuration.
Sighting is via fixed Von Stavenhagen bar-dot sights: an integral front blade with a white dot and a rear notch with a white bar. The slide shows narrow, shallow rear serrations and an anti-glare rib on top. The finish is blued/black with an exposed-spur hammer.
This example remains a compact single-stack with a 3.6-inch barrel and a 7+1 capacity. It comes with three factory-pattern steel magazines, and checkered wood grip panels are installed. The matching-serial factory box and German test target add completeness and desirability for collectors.
