Thoughtful custom touches include an installed ported muzzle brake, a Magpul AK polymer pistol grip, a US-marked lower handguard, and a paracord-wrapped stock. The SAM7UF is built on a hot-die hammer-forged, milled steel receiver with a Bulgarian-style lightening cut, delivering the rigidity and durability this series is known for. Factory markings include "Made in BULGARIA," the Arsenal Las Vegas NV U.S.A. import stamp, and the Bulgarian ((10)) factory code.
Its 16.3 in cold hammer forged, chrome-lined barrel uses 6-groove rifling with a 1:9.44 twist for reliable performance with 7.62x39. The barrel is threaded 14x1 mm LH and is fitted with an aftermarket ported muzzle brake.
The reinforced straight-back underfolding stock locks on both sides and includes a rear sling loop. A Magpul AK polymer pistol grip and polymer handguards are installed, with the lower handguard marked US. The stock struts and buttplate are wrapped in paracord.
Sights are classic AK pattern: a tangent rear sight graduated to 800 m and a protected front post. The rifle accepts standard mil-spec AK magazines and operates via a semi-automatic, long-stroke gas piston system. Overall length is 35.0 in extended and 25.2 in folded, with an approximate weight of 7.5 lb without a magazine.
