Built in 1953, this Light Twelve is a Belgian-made, FN-marked example with factory scroll engraving and the Browning bust/logo on the steel receiver. Belgian Liège proofs appear on the barrel, bolt, and receiver, with a barrel weight stamp and clear "MADE IN BELGIUM" and "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY ST LOUIS Mo" barrel address.
The 28.5 in steel barrel has a solid matted rib and a steel front bead on a small base. A single asterisk on the barrel indicates a Full choke. The chamber is cut for 2 3/4 in shells, matching the era-correct configuration.
Mechanically, it is a long-recoil operated Auto-5 with a left-side magazine cutoff lever and a knurled magazine cap with dual rings. Capacity is 2+1 as configured.
The shotgun wears classic walnut furniture: a round-knob pistol grip stock and a walnut forearm with finger grooves and checkering. It has been customized with a Kick-EEZ recoil pad with a white line spacer, yielding a 15.25 in length of pull.
Finishing touches include a gold-colored trigger and factory engraving that highlights the Light Twelve aesthetic. As a 1953 Belgian FN Browning Auto-5, this example combines collectible markings with a well-appointed ribbed Full-choke barrel.
