The Heavy Varmint configuration features a 26-inch, heavy-profile, non-fluted barrel with a recessed crown and no iron sights. The barrel channel is free-floated, and the barrel top is marked "HEAVY VARMINT." The rifle wears a matte silver finish that complements the functional, purpose-built design.
Its short-action, push-feed bolt uses a plunger ejector and small hook extractor, and the bolt body is engine-turned. Feeding is from an internal box magazine with a hinged floorplate, providing a 5-round capacity. The receiver is drilled and tapped, and this rifle comes with two-piece bases and rings already installed.
The textured gray synthetic stock incorporates a wide beavertail forend for stability and heat clearance, plus dual sling studs up front and a rear sling stud. A Winchester-branded buttpad completes the stock setup. An adjustable bipod is mounted to the front stud, and a black nylon sling with quick-detach swivels is included.
Production aligns with the New Haven USRAC era (pre-2006), and the rifle carries correct factory markings, including the Winchester oval proof and the receiver wall legend with gold-filled lettering. Chambered in .308 Winchester and built on the short action, this Heavy Varmint variant reflects the non-fluted configuration introduced in 1993 and manufactured in the 1990s–2000s timeframe in the United States.
