Designed and built in Germany, this P22 CA carries DE CIP proof marks and matching serial numbers on the slide and frame, underscoring its factory-fitted quality. The California roster variant adds a loaded-chamber indicator and magazine disconnect for roster compliance without altering the pistol’s familiar ergonomics.
The compact 3.42" carbon-steel barrel, zinc-alloy slide, and lightweight polymer frame keep weight down while preserving durability. Front and rear cocking serrations, an external extractor, and an ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/decocker simplify manipulation from either hand.
Its hammer-fired DA/SA system provides a long, deliberate first-shot pull followed by crisp single-action follow-ups. A spurred hammer offers positive thumb control, while the paddle-style ambidextrous magazine release is intuitive for both right- and left-handed shooters.
Fixed front and windage-adjustable rear polymer sights present a bright 3-dot picture. Walther’s proprietary three-lug accessory rail securely hosts the included QR-Laser light/laser module, expanding low-light utility straight out of the box.
