The Golden Boy features a 20-inch octagonal blued steel barrel with a 1:16 twist. Sight alignment is traditional and practical, pairing a dovetailed unhooded front blade with an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight equipped with a stepped elevator.
The rifle’s receiver cover wears a polished brass-colored Brasslite finish, complemented by a brass buttplate and brass barrel band. The overall finish presents a striking brass-and-blued contrast that reflects the Golden Boy’s classic design language.
The lever-action runs a standard-size loop and feeds from an under-barrel, front-loading tubular magazine with a knurled front cap and a brass-colored inner magazine follower window. Capacity is 16 rounds of .22 LR, or 21 rounds of .22 Short per factory specification. An exposed hammer and a quarter-cock safety notch round out the operating controls.
American walnut is used for both the straight-grip, uncheckered stock and the matching fore-end. The rifle measures 38.5 inches overall with a 14.0-inch length of pull and weighs 6.75 pounds.
Markings include "CALIBERS .22 S/L/LR" on the barrel, "HENRY REPEATING ARMS – BAYONNE NJ – MADE IN USA," and "MODEL H004" on the receiver tang, reinforcing its U.S. manufacture and model designation.
