The Star Model BM delivers a compact, all-steel 9mm platform with a single-stack 8-round magazine and a 3.77 in barrel. Its single-action, locked-breech, short-recoil system provides a familiar manual of arms and consistent trigger press.
Controls include a left-side thumb safety, a magazine disconnect, a pivoting trigger, an external hammer, and a left-side button magazine release. Fixed blade front and notch rear sights and vertical rear slide serrations round out a straightforward, duty-style setup.
Markings include a Century Arms (Georgia, VT) import stamp, MADE IN SPAIN mark, BM stamp on the heel, the slide rollmark STAR B. ECHEVERRIA S.A. CAL. 9 m/m P, and a 77 stamp on the right trigger-guard flat. Matching slide and frame inventory numbers are present.
The blued steel frame and slide are fitted with two-piece wood grip panels, and a lanyard ring is installed at the heel. This example is dated 1977 and retains its single-stack factory magazine.
