This Kalashnikov USA KR-9 stands out as a 9mm Luger carbine patterned after the PP-19-01 Vityaz and upgraded with authentic ZentiCo furniture plus a Krebs ventilated steel cheese-grater upper handguard. It features a hinged dust cover with a full-length Picatinny rail, a left-side folding metal triangle stock with a clip-on cheek riser, and a 16.25 in threaded barrel. Four 30-round proprietary KR-9 magazines are included.

The KR-9 uses a closed-bolt straight blowback action with an out-of-battery safety and a stamped steel receiver finished in black. It is built in the United States and provides dependable 9mm performance in a familiar AK-pattern layout, with a flared magwell for smooth reloads and a 30+1 capacity.
Furniture and controls are a highlight here. This KR-9 features authentic ZentiCo furniture: a Zenitco PK-3 pistol grip (tan), a Zenitco RP-2 enlarged charging handle knob, and a tan Zenitco RK-6L style vertical foregrip. The lower handguard matches the Zenitco B-21L pattern in tan anodized alloy; some materials may list it as ZentiCo B-11, but the installed piece is B-21L pattern.
The upper handguard is the Krebs ventilated steel cheese-grater style, pairing effective heat ventilation with a classic AK aesthetic. The hinged dust cover carries a full-length Picatinny rail for mounting optics, with the rear sight integrated into the cover and an AK-pattern front sight block up front.
The 16.25 in 4140 steel barrel is threaded 1/2x28 TPI and currently fitted with a slim cylindrical ported muzzle device. The left-side folding metal triangle stock includes a rubber buttpad, a clip-on cheek riser, a rear sling loop, and provides a 13.5 in length of pull. Overall length is approximately 34.5 in extended and 25.25 in folded, with an unloaded weight around 6.6 lb. A Russian recoil pad/cheek pad is also present.
