The Encore Pro Hunter is a single-shot, break-open rifle built on Thompson/Center’s stainless Encore frame and marked "PRO HUNTER" on both barrel and receiver. It is chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum and uses an external hammer with an offset spur to aid access when a scope is mounted.
The 28-inch heavy fluted stainless barrel features a recessed crown and no iron sights. The barrel appears unthreaded. A one-piece Picatinny/Weaver scope base is installed on the barrel to facilitate mounting optics.
The stock set is purpose-built for control and recoil management. It includes a black synthetic thumbhole buttstock with molded recoil-absorbing chevrons and a LimbSaver recoil pad, paired with a black synthetic forend with gray over-molded traction inserts and a two-screw attachment. Length of pull measures 14.75 inches.
Practical touches include front and rear sling-swivel studs and a matte stainless finish on the frame and receiver. As part of the Encore switch-barrel platform, the design allows barrel changes via the hinge pin, offering configuration flexibility within the Encore system. Made in the United States.
