This Wolf FOS uses a break-action inline system with an external hammer and a trigger-guard breeching button for straightforward operation. The Quick-Release Breech Plug is finger-removable, simplifying cleaning and maintenance in the field or at the bench. It is a single-shot design with 209 primer inline ignition.
The 24-inch blued carbon steel barrel includes a crowned muzzle and a 1:28 twist. This setup provides a solid foundation for .50 caliber muzzleloading performance while keeping overall length to approximately 39 inches and weight to about 6.25 pounds for easy carry.
Sighting is handled by DuraSight fiber-optic iron sights, with a red fiber-optic ramp front and a green fiber-optic adjustable rear. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope bases, giving mounting flexibility if an optic is later desired.
The black synthetic stock is ambidextrous and features textured grip and forend panels for secure handling. A CVA CrushZone rubber recoil pad enhances comfort, and a rear sling-swivel stud is installed. Length of pull is 14.0 inches.
