The vz. 58 Sporter pistol from Czech Small Arms is chambered in .223 Rem and built on a milled steel receiver with a sheet-metal top cover. It follows the vz. 58 pattern, including a last-round bolt hold-open with a left-side release, and accepts vz. 58-pattern magazines for the 5.56/.223 family.
The action is semi-automatic, gas-operated with a short-stroke piston, and striker-fired. A 7.5-inch threaded barrel is paired with a removable cylindrical multi-port muzzle brake. The charging handle is right-side and reciprocating, and a manual safety/selector is fitted. Capacity is 30+1.
Sights include a protected front post on the combined front-sight/gas block and a rear tangent-notch leaf. Furniture consists of polymer handguards with longitudinal ribs and a polymer pistol grip with molded texturing and the CSA crest. A SIG SAUER pistol stabilizing brace with a hook-and-loop strap is installed.
The receiver carries clear markings: the Czech lion crest (CSA coat-of-arms), "CSA VZ.58 SPORTER CAL .223 Rem," and Czech Small Arms/Czech Republic legends.
