This Springfield Armory Hellion California-Compliant 20-inch bullpup brings the VHS-2 lineage to a feature-compliant, tan-finished 5.56 NATO package with ambidextrous controls, reversible ejection, and a CMV barrel treated with Melonite. It includes a pinned and welded multi-port muzzle brake, integrated flip-up diopter sights, and ships with five 10-round PMAGs and the original soft case.

The Hellion’s California-compliant 20-inch configuration features a fixed stock, a featureless fin-style grip wrap, and a 10+1 capacity. The length of pull is 16.5 and is not adjustable. A multi-port muzzle brake is pinned and welded in place, and the factory flash hider is included loose.
Built around a semi-automatic, short-stroke gas piston system, this bullpup includes ambidextrous safety, magazine, and bolt controls, plus an ambidextrous, non-reciprocating charging handle. Its ejection architecture is reversible, and the two-position gas system (Normal/Suppressed) tailors operation to ammunition and conditions.
For aiming and mounting, the rifle uses a full-length integrated Picatinny carry-handle rail with numbered slots and spring-loaded flip-up sights. The rear is a diopter unit with five apertures and windage adjustment; the front sight is elevation adjustable. The polymer handguard provides M-LOK slots for accessory attachment.
Construction pairs a polymer clamshell receiver over a steel action with a tan finish. The 21-inch CMV barrel receives a Melonite treatment. The platform is derived from the Croatian HS Produkt VHS-2 and is marked with Springfield Armory Geneseo, IL and HS Produkt/Made in Croatia, along with the Springfield Armory crossed-cannons crest. It feeds from STANAG/AR-15 magazines and accepts AR-pattern pistol grips.
