Made in Japan by Olin-Kodensha, this Model 101 carries crisp factory scroll engraving on the receiver flanks and bottom, as well as the top lever and trigger guard. The blued steel receiver and barrels present a cohesive, traditional finish with clean, well-executed markings.
The 26 inch steel barrels wear a ventilated rib with a matted anti-glare top, paired with a front bead and mid-bead for a clear sight picture. Chambers are cut for 2 3/4" shells, and the fixed Cylinder/Cylinder constrictions deliver true Cyl Chokes as marked.
This break-action over/under uses a single trigger and tang safety for straightforward operation. The top lever sits to the right, and capacity is two rounds as expected for the platform.
Furniture includes a checkered walnut pistol grip stock with a grip cap medallion, a beavertail forend with an inletted latch plate, and a Winchester hard rubber buttplate. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches, providing a comfortable, traditional fit.
