The M&P15-22 Sport MOE SL is a .22 LR, blowback-operated rifle built on polymer upper and lower receivers to keep weight low while preserving familiar AR-15 style controls. It includes a shell deflector and selector markings labeled SAFE/FIRE. Overall length is approximately 30.7–33.8 in, with an unloaded weight around 4.8–5.0 lb.
The 16.5 in carbon steel barrel carries an Armornite finish for durability and is threaded 1/2x28, capped with an A2-style flash suppressor. A 1:15 twist is tuned for common .22 LR loads, and the dedicated rimfire design supports reliable function in this platform.
Magpul furniture includes the MOE SL six-position adjustable stock in flat dark earth and a Magpul polymer pistol grip. Up front, a 10 in slim polymer M-LOK handguard provides mounting slots and a continuous top Picatinny rail that runs to the receiver.
Factory-installed Magpul MBUS folding sights give a clear sighting solution out of the box. This example also includes installed M-LOK rail cover panels for added grip and comfort.
