Built in the United States and marked American Spirit Arms Corp., Phoenix, AZ, this ASA15 uses a direct impingement, semi-automatic action on the AR-15 platform. The receivers carry a matte black finish, while the bolt carrier has a bright silver finish. The upper is a flat-top Picatinny type with a forward assist, ejection port cover, and case deflector, and the rifle ejects to the right side.
The barrel is a 24-inch stainless heavy/bull profile, threaded and fitted with an installed multi-port muzzle brake. The free-float tubular aluminum handguard includes a knurled mid-section for grip, a ventilated front for heat dissipation, and a short 12-o'clock rail segment.
Custom touches enhance the setup: a flared magwell funnel aids magazine insertion, and the non-A2 fixed, rifle-length synthetic stock includes a rear sling swivel stud. The textured, finger-groove pistol grip provides positive purchase. Length of pull is 13.5 inches.
