The Safebolt uses Steyr's SBS action with a recessed bolt face and plunger ejector, chambered here in .243 Winchester. The 24 in sporter-profile barrel ends in a plain, unthreaded muzzle for a clean hunting-oriented setup.
Controls are straightforward and secure, with a 3-position tang safety and a safety bushing around the bolt head. Feeding is via a detachable polymer box magazine with a stated 4+1 capacity and a front-latch release.
The synthetic stock in black/charcoal includes an integral trigger guard and magazine well, a straight comb, and a pistol-grip swell for consistent handling. A polymer buttpad with the Steyr logo and a 14.0 in length of pull round out the fit.
The receiver is drilled and tapped and fitted with two-piece scope bases using a two-screw pattern per base. Markings include STEYR SAFEBOLT and MADE IN AUSTRIA, plus Austrian proof/CIP marks and the GSI Inc., Trussville, AL import mark. There are no iron sights.
