Built by FN Herstal in Belgium, this Grade I SA-22 carries the hallmarks collectors look for: Belgian proof stamps, a "MADE IN BELGIUM" barrel marking, and the St. Louis & Montreal address. The 1T serial prefix places production in 1961.
It retains the classic SA-22 configuration with bottom ejection, a tubular magazine housed in the buttstock, and a true takedown system. The 19.38-inch steel barrel and blowback, semi-automatic action are paired with a 10+1 capacity in .22 LR.
Materials and finish are consistent with Grade I trim: blued steel receiver and barrel, checkered walnut semi-pistol-grip stock, straight walnut forend, and a steel buttplate with a cutout for the magazine follower. Receiver side panels show factory light scroll engraving bordered by zig-zag cuts.
Sighting equipment includes a hoodless bead front and a screw-adjustable rear leaf. The receiver has scope grooves, and the rifle comes with a mounted Tradewinds TW-ZOOM 1.5-4x scope on a one-piece ring/base, made in Western Germany.
