The Scorpion EVO 3 S1 uses a straight blowback, closed-bolt, semi-automatic system for reliable 9mm performance. Its cold hammer-forged barrel is threaded and recessed under the forend, and it ships with a factory multi-port muzzle device already installed.
The FDE fiber-reinforced polymer receiver, forend, and grip keep weight down while maintaining durability. Controls are well thought out, including ambidextrous safety levers, a paddle-style magazine release, and a left-side bolt catch. The left-side charging handle is non-reciprocating and swappable, and the ejection port is on the right.
Sighting is handled by flip-up adjustable iron sights, with a front post and a rear aperture that offers multiple apertures. A full-length 12 o'clock Picatinny rail (approximately 11 inches) runs the top, with additional rail sections at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock. The polymer forend includes an integral hand stop.
This pistol configuration includes the factory rear end cap with a sling attachment point. It is marked "CZ SCORPION EVO 3 S1" on the receiver and carries "Made in Czech Republic" markings, CZ-USA (Kansas City, KS) importer marks, and Czech proof marks with "A 21." Capacity is 20+1 with the included 20-round magazines.
