The 28 inch blued steel barrels are joined by a ventilated, matted top rib and carry a single front bead for a clean sight picture. The barrel monobloc is factory marked "20 GA. 3" CHAMBERS," matching the 3 inch chamber specification.
The stainless steel receiver wears a natural stainless finish, contrasting with the polished blued barrels for a classic Red Label look. The action is a break-action with a single trigger and a tang-mounted safety, and capacity is 2.
The walnut stock set includes a pistol-grip buttstock and a beavertail forend with a lever-style latch. Wraparound checkering provides a sure hold. The Ruger red-logo recoil pad with black spacer and a 14.0 inch length of pull complete the fit.
Chokes are fixed Improved Cylinder and Modified, an original configuration on this model and era. The gun is USA-made and falls into the 1980s production window, with a 400- serial prefix consistent with early Red Label 20 gauge examples.
