This early-production Ronin Operator Lightweight pairs a forged, hot-salt blued carbon-steel slide with a forged aluminum-alloy frame in satin aluminum Cerakote, delivering a classic two-tone Commander-length 1911 that tips the scales at about 29.5 oz unloaded. It features a match-grade, fully supported and ramped forged stainless barrel with a traditional bushing, quality sights, and thoughtful carry upgrades, all in .45 ACP with 8+1 capacity.
The slide is marked "RONIN OPERATOR" and includes a lowered and flared ejection port. The frame is marked "SI GENESEO IL USA" and wears checkered reddish wood laminate grips with Springfield Armory crest medallions. Controls include a checkered magazine release, a single-sided extended thumb safety, and a beavertail grip safety with memory pad.
Sighting is fast and clear thanks to a red fiber-optic front and a serrated 2-dot tactical-rack rear, both dovetailed. The long, skeletonized three-hole trigger and skeletonized commander-style rowel hammer complete the package. This model uses a GI-style short guide rod and plug, and it has no optics cut (predating the AOS pattern).
Built on the proven 1911 platform and the Ronin series feature set, this Operator Lightweight configuration balances carry weight with shootability. Chambered in .45 ACP, it uses standard single-stack 1911 magazines and comes with five 8-round magazines to get you to the range immediately.
