The 16.10 in barrel is cold hammer-forged from 4140 chrome-moly steel and threaded 1/2-28 for muzzle device compatibility. An A2 flash suppressor is factory installed, and the 1:8 RH twist stabilizes a wide range of 5.56 NATO projectiles.
The flat-top upper includes a full-length Picatinny rail, forward assist, dust cover, and brass deflector. A carbine-length gas system is paired with a pinned F-height A2 front sight tower, and a bayonet lug is present.
Ruger equips the rifle with forged 7075-T6 aluminum receivers finished in Type III hard-coat anodizing. The bolt is 9310 steel, and the 8620 steel carrier features chrome-lined interiors with a properly staked gas key.
Furniture includes a two-piece carbine-length polymer handguard, a 6-position collapsible stock with a 12.25 in length of pull, and an aftermarket Magpul MOE-K2 pistol grip in FDE. Sights are a fixed A2 front paired with the Ruger Rapid Deploy folding rear. The rifle accepts STANAG-pattern magazines and ships with a windowed PMAG.
Manufactured in 2020 in Mayodan, North Carolina, this example carries Ruger phoenix and AR-556 markings and the factory flat-top configuration that supports a wide range of sighting setups while retaining the classic A2 front sight.
