The pistol follows the Government-length, non-railed 5 inch pattern with a matte black steel frame and slide. It features front and rear cocking serrations and a lowered, flared ejection port for consistent cycling. The sights are 3-dot and dovetailed, with the rear secured by a set screw.
Controls and internals reflect the classic 1911 layout: single-action, recoil-operated system, a skeletonized commander-style hammer, and a skeletonized long 3-hole trigger. Safety features include a left-side manual thumb safety and a grip safety. Capacity is 8+1, and two steel magazines with witness holes and basepads are included.
Customization is focused and reversible. A Valkyrie Dynamics bushing-style muzzle brake is installed, allowing the use of the included original barrel bushing if preferred. Light-colored hex-pattern grip panels are installed, and the original Taurus factory checkered panels with medallions are included in the box.
Markings and details include the Taurus bull logo on the slide, a right-side "1911" slide marking, and a barrel hood marked ".45 ACP." The mainspring housing is vertically serrated, and the front strap is smooth. The pistol is marked "Made in Brazil" with Taurus Int'l Mfg Miami, FL–USA import information, and it has matching serial numbers on the frame and barrel hood.
