The M4-22 uses a semi-automatic straight blowback action purpose-built for .22 LR, paired with a nickel-plated bolt assembly for smooth cycling and easy maintenance. The rimfire system mirrors AR-15 controls, including a functional bolt catch and selector safety.
Its 16 inch steel barrel is threaded 1/2x28 TPI and comes fitted with a flash hider. The 1:16 twist rate is appropriate for common .22 LR loads, supporting reliable performance across typical rimfire use.
The rifle is assembled on aluminum upper and lower receivers and includes a flat-top Picatinny upper with shell deflector, ejection port cover, and forward assist. A free-float M-LOK handguard with a continuous top rail provides modern mounting versatility.
