Colt Custom Shop Single Action Army 175th Anniversary .45 Colt Revolver – Royal Blue, 7.5" Barrel, 24K Gold Inlay, Limited Edition
This factory-engraved Colt Single Action Army commemorates 175 years since Samuel Colt’s 1836 patent. Built by the Colt Custom Shop in 2011, it features a mirror-polished Royal Blue finish over carbon steel and extensive 24-karat gold inlay applied by Colt master engravers. With production limited to about 175 revolvers in this 7.5-inch configuration, it offers both historical significance and true scarcity for the serious Colt collector.

Colt released this 3rd-Generation Single Action Army through its Custom Shop as a one-time commemorative series. Only about 175 units of each barrel length were produced, making this example—serial number S67270A—a scarce piece of modern Colt production.
The revolver displays C-level factory engraving that integrates Rampant Colt motifs, Sam Colt’s signature, and a gold “1836–2011 – 175 Years” banner. All scrollwork and decorative elements are executed in 24-karat gold and set sharply against the deep Royal Blue polish.
Traditional four-click lockwork, a removable cylinder bushing, and fixed blade/top-strap groove sights preserve the classic SAA handling that collectors expect. The 7.5-inch carbon-steel barrel, cylinder, and frame all wear the Custom Shop’s high-gloss polish, while black hard-rubber Eagle-pattern grips complete the period-correct appearance.
Chambered for the venerable .45 Colt cartridge and holding six rounds, this revolver blends shootable configuration with display-grade workmanship. Its near-new condition and extremely limited production make it a standout addition to any Colt or commemorative firearm collection.
