Built on the Mauser platform, this m/38 uses a controlled-round-feed turn-bolt action with an internal 5-round magazine. It supports charger loading through the stripper-clip guide on the rear bridge, retaining the efficient service-rifle workflow of its era. The three-position flag safety is mounted at the rear of the bolt.
The receiver ring is marked "HUSQVARNA VAPENFABRIKS AKTIEBOLAG 1943," with Swedish markings on the rear sight. The rifle wears a blued finish on the receiver and furniture, contrasted by a bolt left in the white. A bayonet mount and a cleaning rod channel are present, and a bayonet is included.
Furniture is oil-finished hardwood with a full-length stock, finger grooves, and a separate handguard. It retains the brass stock disc typical of Swedish service rifles, along with a side sling bar, a bottom sling loop, and a steel buttplate. Length of pull is 14.0 inches.
