- One 32-round steel 9mm straight stick magazine compatible with the Colt 9mm AR system
The R6450 is Colt’s dedicated 9mm AR-15 carbine, built on an aluminum alloy receiver set with a slick-side 9mm upper. The fixed carry handle upper has no forward assist or case deflector, and pairs with a fixed front sight base that includes a bayonet lug and standard iron sights.
Feeding is optimized by a dedicated, pinned 9mm magazine well adapter designed for Colt/UZI-pattern stick magazines. Capacity is 32+1 rounds. The action is semi-automatic, straight blowback, purpose-built for 9mm Luger.
The 16.1 inch barrel is chrome-lined for durability and marked 'C MP CHROME BORE 9MM.' It features a threaded muzzle with an A2-style birdcage flash suppressor. The carbine-length ribbed polymer handguards complete a classic configuration.
Furniture includes a telescoping stock with a 13.25 inch length of pull and an A2-style pistol grip. Controls include a manual safety. This example bears the ban-era right-side magwell rollmark 'RESTRICTED MILITARY/GOVERNMENT LAW ENFORCEMENT/EXPORT USE ONLY,' aligning it with 1990s–2000s production.
