Built in Mayodan, North Carolina during the Ruger era, this 1895 Dark Series emphasizes durability and weather resistance. The receiver, barrel, and small parts wear a Graphite Black Cerakote finish, while the bolt and big-loop lever are nitrided for added hardness and corrosion resistance.
The 16.17 inch alloy-steel barrel is cold hammer-forged with six-groove rifling and a 1:20 RH twist. It is threaded 11/16-24 and fitted from the factory with a radial muzzle brake, providing flexibility for muzzle devices while keeping overall length to a compact 35.5 inches.
Ergonomics and handling are modernized with a nylon-reinforced polymer stock featuring an adjustable cheek riser, a soft recoil pad, QD flush-cup sling sockets, and M-LOK slots. The anodized aluminum handguard adds additional M-LOK mounting locations and durability.
Sighting equipment includes an adjustable ghost-ring aperture rear mounted on the rail and a fiber-optic front with a tritium ring for visibility. An extended scout-length Picatinny rail spans the receiver and barrel. The rifle retains a 5-round tubular magazine with a receiver loading gate, a cross-bolt safety, a 13.5 inch length of pull, and a carry-friendly weight of 7.0 pounds.
