The Series 70 firing system preserves the classic 1911 design without a firing-pin safety, paired with a single-action, semi-automatic operation and GI-style controls. Capacity is 7+1 in .45 ACP, staying true to the Government Model format.
A factory National Match 5" barrel is standard on this model. The pistol uses a short, solid trigger and a spur hammer, with a checkered magazine release for positive control.
Sights are fixed GI-style, with a staked front blade and a small square-notch rear. The slide wears rear-only, vertical serrations and a traditional blued finish with polished flats and matte rounds.
The frame and receiver are steel with a matching blued finish.
