The M9A4 pairs the proven 92-series locking-block system with an open-top slide finished in FDE Cerakote. Front and rear slide serrations and dovetailed three-dot sights with a drift-adjustable rear provide a practical sighting and handling setup. The slide is marked BERETTA U.S.A. CORP. – GALLATIN, TN and MADE IN USA, with the PB oval logo.
Its steel barrel measures 5.1 inches and is threaded 1/2x28 TPI, protected by a knurled cap. The action is DA/SA with short-recoil, locked-breech operation. Safety features include an ambidextrous decocker and a firing pin block, while the skeletonized hammer offers a distinct 92-series profile.
The Vertec-profile aluminum-alloy frame uses a straight backstrap with frontstrap and backstrap checkering and an extended beavertail for secure control. An integral MIL-STD-1913 rail on the dustcover supports illumination tools as needed. A lanyard loop is set at the base of the grip.
Capacity is 18+1, and three 18-round steel double-stack magazines are included; the magazines display a witness-hole pattern.
