The G40 Gen4 MOS combines a full-size polymer frame with a long slide to deliver a 9.49 inch overall length and an 8.31 inch sight radius. The steel barrel is cold hammer forged with hexagonal rifling, non-threaded and unported, and uses a 1:9.84 RH twist suited to the 10mm Auto chambering.
The frame is customized with extensive stippling on the grip panels, front strap, backstrap, and bilateral index pads. This Gen4 frame retains the finger grooves and the interchangeable backstrap system, and it includes a reversible magazine catch.
The slide features a factory MOS optic cut with cover plate, rear serrations, and no front serrations. Sights are a white-dot front blade and an adjustable rear notch. The pistol uses a striker-fired action with a nominal 5.4 lb trigger.
It is marked "MADE IN AUSTRIA" with GLOCK, Inc., Smyrna, GA importer markings, and has matching serial numbers on the slide and frame. Weight is 32.28 oz without a magazine, and capacity is 15+1. An accessory rail on the dust cover supports compatible lights or lasers.
