This Barrett MRAD in .338 Lapua pairs a 26-inch heavy, quick-change barrel with a rugged 7000-series aluminum monolithic upper and a full-length Picatinny top rail featuring a built-in 10 MIL cant. Its right-folding, tool-less adjustable stock shields the bolt when folded and dials in fit with adjustable length of pull and cheek piece. The threaded barrel wears a Barrett two-port brake, and the rifle uses detachable 10-round magazines. The MRAD platform was selected as the basis for the U.S. Army's MK22 Precision Sniper Rifle program.

The MRAD’s multi-caliber quick-change system uses two Torx bolts marked "140 IN/LBS T30 PLUS" for fast, repeatable barrel swaps. This rifle is configured in .338 Lapua with a 26-inch heavy-profile, threaded barrel and a 1:9.4 twist to stabilize long, high-BC projectiles. A Barrett two-port brake is installed to reduce recoil and maintain shot-to-shot control.
The monolithic 7000-series aluminum upper is finished in matte gray and integrates a full-length Picatinny top rail measuring approximately 21.75 inches with a built-in 10 MIL cant. The slotted handguard provides accessory-friendly mounting at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, and a short bottom rail section is installed.
Ergonomics are engineered for precision. The right-folding stock shields the bolt when folded and adjusts without tools for length of pull and cheek height; the length of pull is set at 14.0 inches. A match-grade, adjustable, user-removable trigger module and a thumb safety round out the fire-control setup. A Magpul pistol grip provides a familiar, secure interface.
Selected as the basis for the U.S. Army's MK22 Precision Sniper Rifle program and made in the USA, this MRAD delivers a well-specified .338 Lapua configuration with a 10+1 capacity. It comes with a Pelican 1750 hard case with custom-cut foam, two magazines, and useful accessories including a rubber barrel de-resonator.
