The Freedom Ordnance FX-9 is a compact 9mm AR-platform pistol built around a simple blowback system and billet aluminum receivers. It features an 8 inch 4150 chromoly steel barrel with a QPQ nitride finish and 1/2x28 threads, a free-float M-LOK handguard with a full-length top rail, and a last-round bolt hold-open. This example comes set up with a Bushnell red dot on a riser and includes two Glock factory 33-round magazines, combining proven components with practical setup details. Made in Chandler, Indiana, USA.

The FX-9 is engineered on the AR-9 platform with a simple blowback action and AR-15-style control layout, including a proprietary magazine release, a manual safety selector, and a rear charging handle. It uses Glock-pattern double-stack magazines and includes a last-round bolt hold-open.
The 8 inch barrel is 4150 chromoly steel with a QPQ nitride finish, a 1:10 twist, and 1/2x28 threads. Nitrided steel components extend to the bolt, ejector, extractor, feed ramp, and LRBHO for durability and wear resistance.
Billet aluminum receivers with a Type III hardcoat anodized finish provide a solid foundation. The free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard integrates a full-length 12 o'clock Picatinny rail for accessories. This pistol arrives with a Bushnell red dot on a riser, plus an angled foregrip and textured M-LOK rail covers.
The adjustable polymer brace includes a QD sling socket and interfaces with a mil-spec buffer tube. Overall length is approximately 23–24.75 inches, and weight is about 5 lb 1.6 oz without a magazine.
Capacity is 33+1 with the included Glock factory extended magazines. The pistol is manufactured in the USA in Chandler, Indiana.
