The Stainless Varmint Special configuration centers on a 24 inch heavy-profile, in-the-white stainless steel barrel that is non-fluted, plain crowned, and unthreaded. This setup favors stability and consistency, with the barrel free-floated inside a vented tubular aluminum handguard.
The handguard features knurling for grip and control and a 6 o'clock sling/bipod stud for simple accessory attachment. A low-profile gas block keeps the sight line clean with no fixed sights.
The A4 flat-top upper provides a continuous Picatinny rail and includes a forward assist, case deflector, and dust cover. The rail section lacks T-markings, matching the period-correct features of this model.
The rifle uses 7075-T6 aluminum receivers with a hard-coat anodized finish and runs a semi-automatic, direct impingement system with a manual safety. Furniture includes a fixed rifle-length A2-style synthetic stock and a Hogue rubber finger-groove pistol grip for a secure hold.
This example aligns with the Windham, Maine B.F.I. rollmark era and accepts standard AR-15 pattern detachable magazines. It ships with two 30-round magazines and one 20-round magazine, including a Magpul PMAG, a Bushmaster-branded magazine in factory packaging, and a USGI-pattern metal magazine.
