This full-size conversion top end is designed for 1911-pattern pistols and allows training or target work with affordable .22 LR while keeping the same grip angle, trigger, and manual of arms as your centerfire 1911. It is compatible with most 4-inch and 5-inch 1911 frames and is not intended for Ultra subcompact frames.
The kit uses a fixed, match-grade 5-inch steel barrel paired with a stainless bushing for consistent lockup. The aluminum alloy slide reduces reciprocating mass and features front and rear cocking serrations for confident manipulation. A captured recoil spring rides on a full-length guide rod.
Sighting is set up for precision with a fully adjustable target-style rear sight and a dovetailed plain front blade. The slide is marked ".22LR CONVERSION" alongside the script Kimber logo for easy identification.
Operation mirrors the host pistol's single-action controls. Note that there is no last-round slide lockback, consistent with this design. Manufactured in the United States, this kit includes a Kimber-labeled case as referenced on the factory label from Yonkers, NY.
