The pistol features a blued 1916 Erfurt-marked upper assembly with the Crown/ERFURT toggle marking and a chamber date "1916." It is mated to a later Mauser-era frame bearing the "P.08" stamp, illustrating cross-era component use between WWI and WWII production. MFG. 1916. Made in Germany.
Imperial-era acceptance markings are present, including the right-side receiver cluster of three crowned inspector stamps with Imperial eagle. The safety is the correct manual type with the "GESICHERT" marking. The overall finish is blued over a steel receiver, paired with dark checkered grip panels.
