The 7-inch barrel is heavy-profile with a serrated full-length rib, a recessed crown, and a slab-sided contour with an underlug. The fixed-barrel layout with a reciprocating internal bolt operates via a straight blowback, single-action system designed for precise target work.
Sight and control setup is competition-oriented: a Patridge front sight pairs with a fully adjustable target rear sight. The target trigger has a wide, grooved face and an adjustable overtravel stop. A manual thumb safety and a rear charging piece complete the controls.
The pistol is built from carbon steel with a polished blued finish on the frame, receiver, and barrel, and it carries the S&W crest on the frame. Checkered wood target grips with a palm swell provide a secure, consistent hold.
Capacity is 10+1 with a detachable single-column magazine system, and this pistol includes two factory magazines. The barrel system is interchangeable via a trigger-guard latch, and the rib features three slotted screws along the centerline to accept an optional scope base.
