The 98B’s aluminum two-piece chassis is anodized and incorporates an integral trigger guard, a right-side ejection port, and a straight bolt handle capped with a large round knob for positive operation. A two-position safety is clearly marked "S" and "F," and the curved trigger provides a familiar interface.
Its 27-inch steel barrel uses a heavy contour with longitudinal flutes and a threaded muzzle fitted with a two-chamber brake. The 1:10-inch right-hand twist is tailored for .338 Lapua projectiles. The bore presents a clean, mirror finish with sharp lands and grooves.
Up top, a continuous, T-marked Picatinny rail is canted 20 MOA and measures approximately 18.125 inches (T2–T24 visible), providing extensive mounting real estate. The chassis forend has vent slots and is drilled and tapped along the underside to accept accessory rail segments; a short Picatinny section is included.
The fixed, skeletonized aluminum stock includes hardware for length-of-pull adjustment and a buttpad; current LOP is approximately 13.25 inches. A polymer pistol grip complements the chassis layout and supports a stable firing position.
This model feeds from a detachable box magazine (5+1 capacity), with the included mag molded ".338 L.M." for easy identification. Overall length is approximately 49.75 inches, and weight is about 13.5 pounds in this 27-inch configuration. Made in the United States.
