The MR27 is HK416-derived with a gas-operated, short-stroke piston system, giving it the HK lineage collectors look for in a civilian package. It features a 16.5 inch free-floating, threaded barrel beneath an extended M27-pattern handguard with a continuous 12 o'clock Picatinny rail. The AR-15 platform layout includes an ambidextrous safety and a collapsible polymer stock with a rubber buttpad.
This Special Edition Deployment Kit is delivered complete with a Trijicon SU-258/PVQ ACOG mounted in a LaRue Tactical QD mount and a Trijicon RMR piggybacked on top. Illumination and aiming are handled by the FL2000 white-light/laser unit, and the laser projects green. A Harris-pattern bipod attaches via a LaRue bipod rail adapter, while an HK vertical foregrip and tan rail covers round out the forend.
A Knight's Armament folding M4 front sight (PN 99051) is installed to match the M27-pattern handguard. The rifle retains appropriate HK markings, including HK logo, MR27, Cal. 5.56 mm x 45, HK CE, and importer stamp from Heckler & Koch Inc., Columbus, GA. Capacity is 30+1, and two USGI-pattern aluminum magazines with pull plates are included.
