The Emissary build centers on forged components: slide, frame, and barrel are all forged for strength. The heavy 5" match-grade bull barrel uses a one-piece full-length guide rod, delivering a tight, consistent lockup typical of this model.
The slide is a tri-top pattern with front and rear lightening grooves and 40 LPI flat-top serrations. Its blued finish contrasts the stainless frame for a purposeful two-tone look. The integral three-slot Picatinny rail is machined into the dust cover.
Controls include a beavertail grip safety with memory pad and a single-side thumb safety. A flat-faced solid trigger and a skeletonized commander-style hammer complete the fire-control setup. The oversized square, undercut trigger guard and beveled magazine well support confident handling.
Sights are practical and high-visibility: a tritium front with a luminescent ring paired to a Tactical Rack U-notch rear. The frame’s block-style texturing is matched to thin-line G10 VZ Grips for a secure grasp without bulk.
This PX9220L variant is a full-size .45 ACP 1911 with a listed capacity of 10+1 and comes with a mix of 10-, 8-, and 7-round magazines. Introduced in 2021, it remains a current-production configuration in the Emissary series made in the USA.
