The Lite Rack system reduces the effort needed to rack the slide and pairs with rear cocking ears, rear serrations, and lightening windows/ports for confident manipulation. A loaded-chamber viewport at the barrel hood provides a quick visual status check. The slide wears a durable black oxide finish.
Ruger’s Secure Action, internal-hammer, locked-breech mechanism combines a hammer-fired system with modern safety elements. Safety features include a trigger safety, manual thumb safety, and a hammer catch. The pistol will fire with the magazine removed (no magazine disconnect).
Sights are practical and easy to pick up: a green fiber-optic front that is dovetailed into the slide, and a black steel, square-notch rear that is drift-adjustable and features a vertical ledge. Both sights are dovetailed for serviceability.
The compact frame is glass-filled nylon with textured grip surfaces and green inlay panels. Controls are arranged on the left side, including the thumb safety, slide stop, takedown pin, and push-button magazine release. An integral accessory rail on the dustcover with four cross-slots supports common light or laser attachments.
