Sako L61R Finnbear Deluxe 7mm Rem. Mag. Bolt-Action Rifle, 24.5 in Barrel, Engraved, 1971 Finland
Finnish-made in 1971 at Riihimaki, this Sako L61R Finnbear Deluxe pairs a 24.5 inch barrel in 7mm Remington Magnum with classic Deluxe features and factory-engraved bottom metal. The rifle shows excellent care and includes a Bushnell Scopechief IV 3-9x scope mounted on Sako tapered dovetail rings. It features a polished blued finish, a 4-round internal magazine with a hinged floorplate, and a richly appointed walnut stock.

This L61R Finnbear Deluxe is a long-action Sako built in 1971 and marked "FINNBEAR MADE IN FINLAND," with Finnish proof and inspection stamps. It is chambered in 7mm Remington Magnum and uses the L61R long action, known for accommodating magnum-length cartridges.
The rifle has a 24.5 inch barrel and a 4-round internal magazine with a hinged floorplate. The polished blued metalwork is complemented by factory engraving on the steel floorplate and bottom metal, adding a distinct Deluxe touch while remaining true to Sako’s restrained aesthetic. No "Bofors Steel" stamp is observed, consistent with the production era.
The Deluxe walnut stock features a Monte Carlo comb and cheekpiece, skip-line checkering, a rosewood forend tip and grip cap with white-line spacers, an inlaid grip-cap medallion, and a ventilated recoil pad. Length of pull measures 13.0 inches.
Integral Sako tapered dovetail scope bases are machined into the receiver, and the rifle was delivered without iron sights. It is currently outfitted with a Bushnell Scopechief IV 3-9x variable scope in Sako ringmounts, ready for the field or the range.
