The M&P45 Shield M2.0 is built around Smith & Wesson’s M2.0 internal steel chassis, adding rigidity to the polymer frame while keeping weight to about 20.5 oz unloaded. Its micro-size footprint measures 6.45 in overall length and 4.88 in height, with a slim ~0.99 in width for discreet carry.
The 3.3 in stainless steel barrel wears an Armornite finish, matched by a black Armornite slide for corrosion and wear resistance. The frame uses the aggressive M2.0 grip texture for confident control in a compact .45 ACP platform.
This striker-fired pistol uses the M2.0 trigger with a hinged safety. Safety features include a thumb safety and a striker block. The magazine release is on the left side, and the pistol is capable of firing with the magazine removed.
Sights are steel and dovetailed, with a white-dot front and a low-profile notch rear. The slide includes rear M2.0 wave-style cocking serrations, tri-scallop relief cuts near the muzzle, and an external extractor. It is made in the USA and feeds from steel, single-stack 7-round magazines for a total capacity of 7+1.
