It pairs a 5.1 in carbon steel threaded barrel with an optics-ready open-top slide, tall tritium 3-dot sights, and an aluminum-alloy Vertec-style frame. This configuration offers 18+1 capacity, DA/SA operation with a short-reset trigger, and an ambidextrous decocker, all made in the USA and marked Type M9A4.

The M9A4 slide features an open-top profile with front and rear cocking serrations and a factory optic cut with the cover plate installed. Tall dovetailed tritium 3-dot sights provide a clear sight picture, with the rear marked TG-H3. The sight radius measures 6.3 in.
Its 5.1 in carbon steel barrel is extended, threaded 1/2x28, and finished with a crowned muzzle and thread protector. The pistol uses Beretta's short-recoil locking-block operating system and is chambered in 9mm Luger.
The aluminum-alloy frame in FDE includes a Vertec-style straight backstrap with frontstrap and backstrap texturing, a lanyard loop, and a 3-slot Picatinny accessory rail. Thin textured grip panels are installed, and an additional wraparound grip module is included for an alternate feel.
Controls include a checkered magazine release, an ambidextrous decocker, and a skeletonized spurred hammer. The DA/SA trigger uses DLC-coated components and a short-reset geometry. Capacity is 18+1, with two 18-round magazines included.
Factory markings include the PB oval logo and "BERETTA U.S.A. CORP. – GALLATIN, TN, MADE IN USA, 9mm PARA, PATENTED, TYPE M9A4." The frame is marked Type M9A4, and a warning indicates the firearm fires without a magazine. The optics-ready slide accepts optional mounting plates (not included).
