Produced by RPB Industries in Atlanta, this SM11-A1 is a late-1970s to early-1980s example of the compact .380 ACP variant in the Ingram/MAC lineage. It carries the left-side roll mark "SM11-A1 CAL .380 RPB INDUSTRIES, INC. ATLANTA, GA U.S.A." and an SAP-prefix serial, reflecting its period RPB production.
The action is an open-bolt blowback semiautomatic, with the bolt visible through the ejection port and a top-mounted reciprocating charging knob. A two-position safety/selector provides SAFE/FIRE control. This configuration represents RPB’s pre-1982 open-bolt semiautomatic production prior to the ATF prohibition on new open-bolt semiautos.
The 5 inch steel barrel uses coarse external threads at the muzzle, and this example includes a ventilated tubular barrel shroud/handguard as a separate accessory. Fixed iron sights consist of a front post and a rear peep integrated into the back plate for a straightforward sight picture.
Construction is stamped-and-welded sheet steel with a matte protective finish and polymer grip panels, delivering the classic SM11-A1 profile in a compact .380 ACP format. It operates on simple blowback and feeds from detachable double-column magazines, with a 30+1 stated capacity. A nylon wrist/retention strap is installed.
