This West German–marked SIG Sauer P228 is a 1993 KD-coded compact 9mm with classic P-series features and excellent condition. It uses the stamped/folded carbon-steel slide with a pinned breech-block, an alloy frame, and fixed 3-dot sights. Matching serial numbers on the slide and frame, factory markings, and the original serial-matched box complete a well-documented example. Two factory 13-round steel magazines are included.

GERMANY" on the right, with "SIG SAUER" and the importer "SIGARMS INC. EXETER-NH" on the left. The barrel hood is marked "9mm Para," and the slide and frame carry matching serial numbers.
Construction follows the early P228 pattern with a stamped/folded carbon-steel slide and a pinned breech-block, paired with a matte black hard-anodized aluminum alloy frame. The slide has rear serrations only, and the trigger guard is rounded with a serrated face. Finish throughout is matte black.
The action is recoil-operated, locked-breech, and DA/SA, with a decocker and a firing pin block. The steel barrel measures 3.9 inches, and capacity is 13+1 with standard double-stack magazines.
Sights are fixed dovetailed 3-dot units, with a white-dot front and a two-dot rear. Two-piece textured black polymer grip panels are molded "SIG SAUER" on the left and "P228" on the right, providing a secure, straightforward interface consistent with the P-series compact design.
