This Match Champion series revolver uses a stainless steel frame and cylinder with a uniform satin stainless finish. The 4.20 inch barrel is half-lug and slab-sided to reduce forward mass while retaining durability, and the serrated rib aids sight tracking under varied lighting. An 11° target crown protects the rifling at the muzzle.
The action is double-action/single-action and is factory-tuned, with polished internal contact points for consistent operation. It incorporates a smooth trigger with a centering boss and hammer centering shims, plus Ruger’s transfer-bar safety system.
Target-focused sights include a dovetailed green fiber-optic front and a fully adjustable black rear, allowing precise elevation and windage settings. A checkered hammer spur offers sure purchase for single-action cocking.
The revolver is chambered in .357 Magnum and also accepts .38 Special. A triple-locking, fluted and contoured 6-shot cylinder enhances alignment and strength. Control and hand placement are supported by the Hogue stippled hardwood monogrip.
