The Model 19-3 represents the Combat Magnum lineage, combining a K-frame with .357 Magnum capability. This example aligns with the late 1960s–mid 1970s 19-3 engineering change and carries the correct model marking on the yoke along with period rollmarks, the S&W crest, and the four-line Made in U.S.A. address.
The 6-inch heavy barrel features a matte, serrated top rib, a full-length ejector shroud, and a long knurled ejector rod. The six-shot fluted cylinder has recessed (countersunk) chambers, and the revolver also accepts .38 Special.
Sighting is handled by a ramped front sight and a micrometer-adjustable rear, giving a clear sight picture. The action is double-action/single-action with an exposed hammer, and both the hammer and trigger are color case-hardened.
Construction is blued carbon steel throughout the K-frame and cylinder. The installed Pachmayr black rubber wrap-around grips provide a secure, checkered hold while preserving the revolver’s functional, duty-ready style.
